Learning to Live Fearlessly Again: A New Season of Faith

Hey there, my Fearless Friends!

Wow, it has been a while, hasn't it?

I have been thinking about getting back to writing for quite some time now. Life has taken me through so many different seasons, and somewhere along the way, this little space of mine was put on the back burner.

But here I am again!

And you know what? I think that's something worth talking about.

Sometimes we have to begin again.

How many times have you started something with so much excitement, only to find yourself slowly drifting away from it? Maybe life got busy, circumstances changed, or perhaps fear began creeping in again.

I've certainly been there.

One thing God has continued to teach me over the years is that just because something didn't happen the way I originally imagined doesn't mean the story is over.

Sometimes we get so caught up in where we think we should be that we forget to recognize how far God has already brought us.

And let me tell you, He has brought me through so much!

Learning to Trust God in the Gaps

As many of you know, I'm a single momma of three wonderful children.

And if there's one thing motherhood has taught me, it's that I cannot do everything on my own.

Oh, how I've tried!

There have been moments when I've worried about whether I was doing enough, providing enough, or somehow falling short in areas where my children needed me.

But through those moments, God has continued to remind me that I was never meant to carry everything in my own strength.

He has been our Provider. He has been faithful in the areas where I simply couldn't do it all.

And I've learned to trust that my children have a Heavenly Father who loves them beyond anything I could ever comprehend.

What a beautiful thing to rest in!

Finding Freedom in My Mind

Another area where I've experienced so much growth is in my thought life.

For years, I struggled with fear, anxiety, depression, guilt, and feelings of inadequacy.

And somewhere along the way, I began to realize something.

Just because I struggle with something doesn't mean that struggle gets to define me.

I used to refer to things as "my anxiety" or "my depression." But as I began understanding my identity in Christ, I made a personal decision to stop claiming those struggles as part of who I am.

Now, don't misunderstand me. I'm not saying I never struggle anymore.

I absolutely do!

There are still difficult days, thoughts I have to work through, and moments when I need to remind myself of God's truth.

But I've found so much freedom in realizing that my struggles are not my identity.

I can acknowledge what I'm experiencing without allowing it to determine who I am.

My identity is found in Christ.

And the more I begin to understand His love for me, the more I find myself walking in that freedom.

Romans 12:2 reminds us of the importance of being transformed by the renewing of our minds.

And I believe that learning to recognize what we're allowing to shape our thoughts is such an important part of that journey.

You Don't Have to Have It All Figured Out

Can I encourage you with something today?

You don't have to have everything figured out before you take the next step.

You don't have to wait until you feel completely confident.

You don't have to wait until every circumstance in your life is perfectly lined up.

Sometimes, you just have to begin.

Remember Peter stepping out of the boat when Jesus called him?

He didn't have control over the wind or the waves. He simply had to trust the One who was calling him.

And when he began to sink, Jesus reached out His hand.

I love that reminder because it shows me that even when we stumble, we can continue turning to Him.

Living fearlessly doesn't mean never feeling afraid. It means learning to trust God even when fear is present.

So Here I Am, Beginning Again!

I'm excited to begin sharing more here on Kristen's Fearless Living.

I want this to continue being a place where we can grow together, talk about real-life struggles, encourage one another, and discover practical ways to walk in the love and freedom God has given us.

I'll be sharing more personal experiences, biblical encouragement, and resources that I hope will help you put your faith into action in everyday life.

And if there's one thing I hope you take away from this post, it's this:

Don't allow where you've been to keep you from taking the next step toward where God is leading you.

Maybe there's something you've been wanting to begin again.

Maybe there's a dream you've tucked away.

Maybe you've been waiting until you feel ready.

Well, my friend, perhaps today is a good day to take that first little step.

I'm taking mine by showing up here again!

And I hope you'll join me.

Have a blessed day, my Fearless Friends!

With love,

Kristen

A Little Something to Reflect On

Is there something you've been putting off because of fear, uncertainty, or feeling like you're not ready?

What's one small step you could take this week toward that dream or desire?

Remember, small steps still move us forward.
